Privacy Policy

In short: I only collect the contact details you choose to send me, I use them solely to reply to you and arrange coaching, and I never sell or share them for marketing. This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies.
Who I am
This site is run by Barney Whiter, trading as Financial Coaching UK, based in Farnham, Surrey. If you have any questions about your information, you can reach me at barney@financialcoachinguk.com or on 07985 028700.
What I collect
- Details you send me. If you email, call, or book a session, I receive your name, email address, phone number and anything you choose to tell me about your circumstances.
- Booking information. Calls are booked through Calendly, which collects your name, email and chosen time so the appointment can be arranged.
- Newsletter sign-ups. If you subscribe, your email address is held by Substack, who send the newsletter on my behalf. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.
- Basic visitor statistics. I use Cloudflare's privacy-friendly web analytics to count visits and see roughly where they came from. This does not use cookies and does not identify you personally.
How I use it
I use your contact details only to respond to your enquiry, arrange and deliver coaching, and — if you have subscribed — send you the newsletter. I do not use your information for automated decision-making, and I do not sell, rent or share it for anyone else's marketing.
Who it's shared with
I don't share your information except with the services that make this site work: Calendly (for bookings), Substack (for the newsletter if you subscribe), and my email provider. Each handles your data under its own privacy terms. I may also disclose information if required to by law.
How long I keep it
I keep enquiry and client correspondence only for as long as needed to help you and to meet any legal or tax record-keeping obligations, after which it is deleted. Newsletter details are kept until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask to see the information I hold about you, ask me to correct or delete it, or object to how I use it. Just email me and I'll sort it out. If you're ever unhappy with how your data has been handled, you can also contact the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, I'll update this page and the date above.
